SP-Arte

SP-Arte Rotas is an art fair that moves with the times. Born with a focus on Brazilian production, it has reinvented itself to reflect the pulse of the contemporary world. More than just a geographical territory, Rotas is a platform for connections, journeys and discoveries. A point of convergence between artists, galleries and audiences who are charting the course of art now.

From 27 to 31 August, SP-Arte Rotas will occupy ARCA with around 70 curated projects, bringing together galleries, cultural institutions and initiatives that expand the debate on contemporary art.

For the second year running, the event has Rodrigo Moura as artistic director. A Brazilian curator, editor and art critic, Moura works at MALBA (Buenos Aires) and will continue to collaborate with the galleries in developing their projects for the fair. He will also once again be curating the Mirante sector, dedicated to large-format works that propose dialogues with the country's history and socio-cultural context.

The fair's programme includes talks with artists and curators. In the run-up to and during the event, there is also the SP-Arte Circuit, with exhibition openings and events throughout the city of São Paulo.
